I’m not even sure how long it has been already but it is finally updated with TWO CHAPTERS to boot!!!! Goodness gracious… I love this series to death!!! Although I plan to collect this manga, I’m still waiting ‘til the series is complete. I hate waiting for the next volume to come out so I usually limit the titles I buy.. But I don’t think I can help myself anymore… AHHHH!!!! I can so relate to Sawako most especially to these two chapters. Damn, I love it to death!!!

It’s so realistic. It’s like reading your own life story… *sigh*

Even up to now, manga is the only thing that will make me really, really happy. Currently, I’m geared towards buying Kimi ni Todoke, Dengeki Daisy, Beast Master, Lovely Complex and Special A. Skip Beat to follow coz it’s hella long.. But that’s also gonna be in my massive (i at least want to believe) manga collection.

WOW.

And I was just randomly browsing Mangafox for any new manga updates when I saw this one shot. i didn’t expect much out of it to be honest. Since I don’t get to see a lot of good one shots lately on there but first page of the story already captivated me. 

One of my weaknesses is seeing a high quality artwork. It attracts me quite easily, even if the story isn’t that outstanding. But this one has both elements :3 I like how everything happened without seeming to be rushed (since it’s only 50 pages long). You may have some ideas at the back of your mind regarding how the story might progress but the narration made, to tell the story, would just let you go with the flow. 

And oh my God… The artwork is just so top notch! It’s so inspiring!!! It’s very clean, too! I found out that I have actually read and downloaded the mangaka’s other works. I guess I am an instant fan. HAHA! If you love manga, I recommend you read this even if to pass the time. It’s very satisfying :3

Sakura Gari (c) Yuu Watase

Summary:

Sakura Gari is gorgeous Taishou Era romantic story, ten years in the making. It centers around the 16 year old Tagami Masataka as he is aiming to find his place in life. While attempting to start prep school as a rounin he encounters Saiki Souma, the son of a distinguished noble of the Saiki Koushyaku family and becomes part of the Saiki household .

It seems as though this will be the story of Tagami’s life, taking us through both him growing up physically and emotionally. Be aware that there is sexual and yaoi (boy x boy) content within this story. The first chapter is only getting us started…

i am ashamed to say that i have only finished reading it like… uhm…. 2 minutes ago *A*

just a little bit about myself, i am a shoujo fan and i try to avoid reading anything outside the context of fluff. i wouldn’t say i haven’t but if i have a choice, i wouldn’t read a josei, seinen, hentai, smut, yaoi or even a yuri manga.

however, Yuu Watase is my number one idol. ultimately, i would have to read anything Watase, including this title, apparently.

truth be told, i never really understood the story behind this. it might as well be because i was just passing through pages because of the very graphical scenes that i failed to read details within the story.. i know Ayashi no Ceres is a bit graphical but Sakura Gari is just 10 folds more than that!

but i would finish everything i started (most especially because this is a Watase work)… and i don’t regret reading the whole of it.

One word: BRILLIANT.

no wonder it took Watase-sensei 10 years to draft this masterpiece! after reading the last 2 chapter, everything started to make sense… from chapter 1 til the end, everything summed up (without me re-reading the whole thing surprisingly). 

I am so amazed by how she portrayed each of the characters personality, internal conflicts and impurity.. The mature context of the story justified itself as the plot unfolded. I was left with great awe as to how everybody related with one another. And the ending was magnificent… it’ll keep you wondering what have happened between the main characters… and awww….

It was just so captivating.

Well, having said that, the acclaimed (and much rumored) yaoi title Yuu Watase has written for us just ended. And so now, we are to see the continuation of Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden! I know fans alike have been anticipating for this since forever! The hiatus will be finally over!

Naw.. i just can’t wait for my Uruki and Takiko love story!
